I made this for an old friend for her birthday. Haven't seen the high school crowd in a while! Here's the pattern. The band is a long chain, with single crochet rows to widen it.
The pattern for the rose is very easy. Next time I'd use a lighter weight of yarn - the wool made for a rather large rose.
